Nano influencers have been making a big splash in the industry over the last couple of years. Brands have realised the power of using smaller, more niche influencers, especially when they’re the brand’s customers. Word of mouth has always been the best form of marketing, and nano influencers are just another way of doing this.

How advertisers are adapting to a more nuanced social landscape

Social media strategies might have started off with a one-size fits all approach, but times have changed. Users have evolved and are demanding more from brands, on and off social media. Brands compete for attention in a sea of content and this is forcing brands to look at ways to seamlessly fit in on users’ timelines on a range of platforms. Users are distrustful of advertisements in the traditional sense. Afterall, people buy from people not from brands. It’s no wonder that people respond much better to testimonials about brands from real people.

Shopify launches new ‘Linkpop’ link in bio tool with built-in e-commerce features

Shopify has introduced a new tool called Linkpop which is its version of “link in bio”. Consumers can browse a Shopify merchant’s products and purchase it directly on Linkpop without having to leave the app they were using. This makes it more convenient for buyers which means it will most likely lead to more sales.
